On Friday May 5th there will be a student assembly at 12:00 p.m. in the LMS gym to provide our students information about Wyoming's Safe2tell program.  The mission of Safe2Tell Wyoming is to ensure that every student, parent, teacher and community member has access to a safe and anonymous way to report any concerns to their safety or the safety of others, with a focus on early intervention and prevention through awareness and education.  Parents and community members are also invited to attend.  For more information please contact the middle school office or visit the Safe2tell website http://safe2tellwy.org/

 

A reminder for all parents, when dropping your student off at school, remain in the student drop off lane, have your child exit the vehicle from the passenger side and use the crosswalk.  Your assistance in maintaining a safe environment in the parking lot is greatly appreciated.

 

Students can now place orders for this years LMS Yearbook.  The cost has been lowered from $15 to $10 because of the large number of books we are ordering this year, see Mrs. Steed in the LMS office for more information or to place your order.

 

Please ensure you are monitoring your students grades in PowerSchool.  Any 8th grader who receives a failing grade for the semester will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.  Any student with a failing grade at the end of the semester will be required to attend credit recovery during summer school.

 

LMS is asking all students to put their personal electronic devices (phones and iPods) in their lockers by 7:55 a.m. each morning.  This will give students the opportunity to put the device in a secure location and allow them to be on time for class.
