Principal's Message

Parents and Students,


Welcome to Lovell Middle School!  I am honored to serve as the principal of this school.  We have an excellent staff, hard-working students, and a wonderful community to work in.  Below you will find some information about LMS.  Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.


Providing a Safe and Orderly Environment is one of our primary focuses at LMS. We ask for your help in achieving this objective. Please do not hesitate to immediately contact Mr. Hazen or Mr. May about any issues your child may be having. We ask that when you enter the building during school hours, please check in at the main office window and follow district procedures. Please drive slowly in the parking lot when dropping your student off at school. 


A student planner has been purchased for each student and was given to him or her the first day of school. The planner should help students stay organized.  Should a planner need to be replaced; there is a $4.00 charge.


Regular and prompt attendance is critical for student success. Breakfast is available for students at 7:35 a.m. Our school day starts at 8:00 a.m. Students are dismissed Mon. - Thurs. at 3:21 p.m. and on Friday at 12:40. If a student knows they will be missing school, prior notification is appreciated and students may get their assignments ahead of time from their teachers. The LMS Attendance Policy is in the student handbook, which is posted on the school website and on each student’s iPad.


We are always looking for parents who would be willing to serve on our Parent and Community Advisory Committee (PCAC). If you would like to help make a difference in our school and community, please give us a call (548-6553) or stop in and fill out an application.
