Life Skills are skills that will help you throughout your life. These skills can improve your physical, mental/emotional and social health. Just as you learn math, reading, sports, and other kinds of skills, you can learn skills for taking care of your health now and for your entire life. Throughout the year we will focus on Accessing Information; Practicing Healthful Behaviors; Stress Management; Analyze Influences; Practice Communication Skills; Learn Refusal Skills; Utilize Conflict-Resolution Skills; Decision Making and Goal Setting; as well as Advocacy Skills. As you face your future there will be many decisions you will need to make. Developing "Life Skills" will prepare you to succeed in the real world.
